SAT Coaching - Specializing in Local and Distance SAT coaching for Canadian and International students
The SAT is not just for U.S. students anymore!
Increasingly, Canadian and other non-U.S. students are preparing for and writing the SAT tests to gain admission to American colleges and universities. This is especially true of high school athletes who want to take advantage of the many college athletic scholarships offered in the United States of America.
But, these international test takers are at a real disadvantage when it comes to SAT preparation. Most local high schools know very little about the SAT, and are unable to provide assistance or information about writing the SAT, preparing for the SAT, or even registering for the SAT! Even the large SAT prep course companies have a very small presence outside the U.S.A., and finding adequate SAT preparation from experienced, knowledgeable professionals can be difficult.
Mostly Math is one of the few Toronto area locations with experienced SAT tutors. Our SAT coaching program allows local area students to receive private, personalized, one-on-one SAT tutoring in Toronto at our centre. We also offer SAT prep and coaching online for students throughout Ontario, Canada and the world!
We know that as an international student, you need special attention. You may not know whether your high school curriculum covers what you need to know on the SAT. Your high school might not even know! You might have very little knowledge about the SAT test itself, unlike American students whose high schools all provide extensive SAT information. That's where we can help! We know that the SAT was designed in another country, for students of another country, and we can help you make sense of it!
Following the same guiding principles as we use in our regular high school and university tutoring sessions, we personalize the SAT prep experience and we remove the disadvantage that most international students face.
Testimonials:
"AMAZING, is the only word that can be used to describe the effort and dedication Sarah puts into her colleagues. She is one of the most comforting and organized people I have ever met in my entire life. I could have not made it through the SAT without her help. Sarah you are the BEST!"

Dear Tanya,
Thank you for your help this weekend with Rob. He found your tips beneficial. He liked your approach and found the time well spent.
Hey tanya
I just got my sat scores, and i jumped to a 660 from a 570 in math (ie 66th --> 88th percentile!), basically because of you, so thank you.
Hey Tanya!
How are you doing? I am very glad we could go over the English parts of the SATs. I feel that the tutoring helped me prepare for what was actually on the test. Based on the first test, I feel that I was more prepared and that I may have recieved that 150 points (just in the English section). Overall, i didn't really see any question that really caught me offgaurd, but I felt that I gathered information within the questions a lot better than I did before. I would like to thank you for everything you have done for me and I will let you know how I did when the scores come in.
Thanks, Greg

Do I need to take the SAT?
The SAT is for any student applying to college or university in the US, and particularly those who are seeking athletic scholarships or admission to top US schools. Also, the SAT is now commonly used by Ontario universities for homeschooled applicants who do not have a provincial high school diploma.
What is the SAT?
The SAT is a standardized test of reading, writing and mathematics. It tests your knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, editing, numbers, algebra, functions, geometry and data management.
How do I prepare for the SAT?
Prepare for the SAT by targeting your own strengths and weaknesses!
A proper study plan for the SAT includes an initial diagnostic assessment to first identify your strengths and weaknesses, regular self-assessment to know whether you're on target to meet your goals, and practice, practice, practice!
Most students severely underestimate the work required to prepare for standardized tests like the SAT and GRE. At the same time, they often choose the wrong kind of preparation for their own individual situation. Not everyone needs help preparing for these tests. But, those that do need a little or a lot of extra help also need SAT counselling to make sure that they are spending their time (and their money!) wisely. With so many options available, we've got a solution that's right for you!
